  4. In ParvaUtil, load mainboard firmware file

Voicecard update procedure

  1. Connect Parva to computer via USB
  2. Hold ‘A’ button on Parva, then power on synth
  3. Release ‘A’ button
  4. In ParvaUtil, load voicecard firmware file

i hold on B button etc… but the parva screen stays all the time black, is this normal ?

#5

Yes, that’s normal. The Parva screens may be blank or may display “leftover” data, but as long as the ParvaUtil status bar shows “Parva bootloader connected,” then everything is fine.

Hi Brad,
After updating to 0.53 for the mainboard and trying to update the voicecards i lost more voicecards for a total of six from 8 cards installed. After pressing three keys the third note steals the first one and on the individual outputs only two cards still put out some sound. In the Parva menu it shows the two working cards as 0.45 even after the update with the latest tool and on all the other card-slots there is nothing marked at all, no voice card version number.
Is there a way to roll back? Should i send the Parva in for inspection?

Thanks, Joël

Hi Brad,
I just tried to update my Parva, and I did successfully update the motherboard, but when I try to update the voice boards It still shows 0.46 for all voices.
Do I need to update to a previous version of 0.51 before I go to 0.51?

Thanks.

#8

Are you using the new version of the Parva Utility? (v0.5 - download link here)

#9

Joël - I’m emailing you directly.

#10

HI Brad,
Yes I downloaded the latest Parva Utility before doing the update.
Thanks.

Hi Brad,
I HATE Windows 10!
Tried the update from my Windows 7 laptop, and all is good.
I will do some playing after work today.
Thanks.

My results were, once I did the voice card update (on W10) the parva did not change state.
The “Futuresonus Parva” just stayed lit in the displays.
The Parva Utility did say the update was completed.
When It was successful (on the W7 laptop), the display went to a ready state, as a fresh boot up.
Hope this info helps.
Thanks again.
